On a warm sunny day in the midst of cherry pink and green,

My eyes met yours and our hearts worked its' way underneath

Soon we returned to the cool breeze and the chattering crowd

But love was in the air that day, as the sun peeked out the clouds

What started at the Art Cafe lead to me gently stroking your hair

Our skin was covered in fabric, but our hearts laid open and bare

Topiyo, Dominos, Froyoland, we would frequent it all in a month

Until I meet a whole bunch of queer people and realise you are the one

The scent of your perfume envelops me in your trance

Your soft lips brush past the wounds that clawed my heart raw

Your fingertips that graze my face leave me gaping for more

In the moments between your sleep and mine, your body is my home

During all those months we spent apart, I always had a piece of you

In my thoughts, in my actions, I could see your smile gushing through

I've only known love as a burning ache, a raging fierce blaze

In your arms I found, that the world is the storm and you are the sail
