Plonk - my eyes opened; barely did they claim a thing

Vahh - I cried, barely had the music reached me;

My skin, which flared up at the slightest touch

All had vulnerability dancing at its peak.

Then did she come, my sweet-faced mother -

A thin frame holding a strong heart

Tolerated all my antics with superhuman powers

Swishing through every pain, undoing each knot

All was chaos until I was wrapped in her arms,

A gentle touch that radiated love - like God's

And a soft kiss on my forehead that vanished every discomfort

I realised then; she was my angel, a gift from the Lords.
