Broken by the singular portrait of her maze
She wept in the silence of the untended gaze
The cruel eyes smashed the life off her trance
The truth exposed now, left her abashed
The man with the bloodshot eyes broke into a grin
A vile, sinister male; not an ounce of remorse of thy sin
Her shrill screams piercing atop the mountain of Kenya
Though echoed through the realm, could one not observe
A few years back into view came an angel from above
As her heart bled into misery, did she console
The thickness of their desire grew so vehement
While both dropped their paths and had it abort.
Today, the red marks burnt across her skin
Crushing every pint of hope that ever lived
Her own kin had managed to damage her soul
So much so that she stood at the edge, waiting to go
The man flung his leather jacket down the rocks
The stoic face now revealed a heavy sob
He hoped not to harm his own family men
But custom dictated it, society approved of it all.
Men sing the praise of the Almighty above
Natheless claim his sham loathing only to shun
Despite scriptures depicting homosexuality as neutral
This very close-mindedness attempts to break them men.
Like stars in the sky, like pebbles in the ocean
Far fetched does seem this unrealised haven
Humans forced into boxes, all into oblivion
God forbid the plight, the moment one eavesdrops.
